Geshe Rabten's Arrival

At last! Geshe Rabten and his interpreter Dorje have arrived.

At last! Geshe Rabten and his interpreter Dorje have arrived. Gen-la and Dorje have been busy settling into the abbot's residence and becoming acquainted with their new surroundings. Gen-la held his first teaching at Atisha Centre recently, beginning a commentary on Patrul Rinpoche's text, "The Words of My Perfect Teacher."
Repair work on the abbot's building is mostly completed. Our Director Gyatso, with invaluable help from Bob Waterhouse and Liam Chambers are now completing the gompa/prayer room altar. As well, restoration work on an antique Tibetan throne has been completed with the help of volunteers.
Meanwhile, Jampa is preparing for a one-year retreat on Kangaroo Island.
The monks are especially happy to have Geshe Rabten in residence at last and are looking forward to receiving many invaluable teachings. Love and best wishes to all.
